8 Piece Waterproof Hanging Lantern, Brown

I tried to take a picture this morning of a Queen Wasp sitting on one I had hung on my back porch; she was either chewing on it for material to make her nest or considering building her nest on one (the Queens are all busy this morning, nesting). I have hung 12 around my house and on my fence as I have a HUGE wasp population around my house (I live in the woods). I am sorry to say these do nothing to deter them. In addition to their sitting on them, there is another Queen Wasp busily building her nest on my house, just inches from another one I have hanging up. I really, really wished these had worked but sadly, they just do not. I don't want to kill the wasps but also don't want to be stung (!) and will have to look for other ideas.

So these are good quality. I was expecting a more papery style material but these are actually more of a fabric, making them reasonably good quality. The structural piece fits tightly, too. I also like the natural colors. They are unimposing in my foliage. I’m just not sure they actually deter pests. I’m going to keep using them though.

good but use chains to hold them up. strings don't do. the wind works on the strings over time. The lanterns keep their shape and hold up to the elements.

I've hung these all around the outside of ny house. It's been about 8 weeks now, they're a complete success! NOT A SINGLE CARPENTER BEE IN SIGHT! This is especially impressive given that I've been fighting these destructive bees for over 10 years, and have tried many other things. And, they're super easy to hang: just used a twist tie to secure each one to a tree branch or a shepherd's hook where I could reach. Thought I'd have to hang them up high where the bees attack my eaves, but wasn't necessary.I also have a friend in PA who has had the same success. And, they still look good as new after all this time, complete with many storms.Highly recommend!

These are made so well to look like the real thing, that my mother thought it was real 😆 Easy to hang up. I’ve had them up for about 11/2 years and they are just like when I bought them so extremely durable. You just hang them and they do all the work! I bought them because I had bees on my font porch, the first day I hung these, bees were gone and haven’t been back!I got more than I needed at a great price, so I shared with family members.

Within about 2 weeks of putting five of these up, the carpenter bees hovering around our house were gone last year. This spring we didn’t put them up early enough and saw a couple bees. We got them up immediately and within a week they were gone. Didn’t really believe all the hype, but I’m a believer now! The bees were boring into our wood siding causing a bit of damage. We’d already repaired past holes, and are pleased these worked. Not too offensive to look at, and easy to string up.

I was skeptical about these, but decided to try them as our wasp & dirt dobbers were so bad on our porches and inside garage! To my pleasant surprise no more wasp! NONE! We love these so much I just ordered 8 more for my neighbor’s property! They are amazed, as well! I have sold a lot of this item by word of mouth! I will defiantly buy more as gifts for my “wasp scared” family!

Update:These have held up really well after several months. I have 4 of them hanging in various locations. They have been through heavy rain downpours, storms, strong winds that knocked branches out of the trees, and even some slight, small hail. They are still good as new. See updated photo. I hardly ever see a wasp around my deck (maybe one) and he didn't stick around. I have seen one or two around my shutters where they build a nest every year but I see a lot fewer than before and none of them have come near me. I think these were well worth it! I would buy them again!Original Review:Just got them today and hung them right up. They look like fabric just like the description. I am so hopeful they work so we can sit outside and enjoy our yard with our little dogs. I saw a few wasps buzzing around as we were assembling and hanging them. This little guy in the photo seemed to be checking one of the fake hives out. I am rating 5 stars for the looks, easy assembly and hopes that they work. I will change the rating if they don't pan out.
