How Honoson is put together
A supply cupboard is judged on one thing: whether the item is there when you reach for it. That is a question about counts, not about design.
Shelves, not statement pieces
Honoson is a supply brand. The range is seventeen shelves of ordinary items, and it is deliberately broad rather than deep: a school needs badge reels and glue sticks and safety scissors in the same week, and a workshop needs sanding sticks, hex keys and cable ties on the same afternoon.
Nothing here pretends to be an heirloom. The test a line has to pass is duller and harder than that: does somebody reorder it.
The count comes first, because the count is the decision
Every Honoson page leads with how many are in the box. It is the first fact on a card, it is in the name, and it decides where the product sits on a department page.
The reason is arithmetic. A pack of 200 pencils at fifteen dollars and a pack of 24 at nine are not comparable until you divide, so we do the division on the page and print the figure per piece next to the price.
Specifications are copied from nobody
What a pack contains, what it is made of and how big it is are printed where the product states them and left out where it does not. There is no house average standing in for a missing measurement, and no adjective doing the work a number should do.
It makes some of our pages shorter than the competition. It also means the numbers on them can be trusted.
Seventeen shelves, one way of finding things
The range crosses twenty-seven separate product categories as they are filed elsewhere, which is a good way to lose a customer. So the departments here are organised by what somebody is actually shopping for rather than by where the item was originally filed: a Christmas party favour is on the seasonal shelf, a cookie box bought to give is in gift packaging, a tagging gun is at the shop counter.
Where a line genuinely does not belong to one shelf, it sits in More Supplies rather than being forced somewhere tidy.
Prices move, and the site says when
Every price on this site carries the date it was last updated, at the top of every page. A line with no buyable price leaves the range until it returns rather than sitting here with a figure nobody can honour.
That is the whole policy, and it is the reason the number you see is worth reading.
